What happens during a walk?

At each Walk with a Doc event, the participating healthcare provider begins with a brief discussion on a current health topic and then participants spend the rest of the hour enjoying a healthy walk and conversation. During the walk, participants are encouraged to ask questions in a relaxed setting.

How long is the walk and how far do we go?

Usually 30–60 minutes, covering 1–2 miles at an easy-to-moderate pace. Routes are accessible and family-friendly.

What should I bring or wear?

Comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, water, sunscreen, and any personal medications (e.g., inhaler). A light snack if needed.
